| Michael Lohan demanded money to air his "concerns" for Lindsay |
[08 Nov 2009|10:54pm] |

Michael Lohan reportedly demanded $100,000 from a series of media outlets to release taped conversations with his daughter Lindsay.
The actress's father is embroiled in a war of words with his famous offspring after leaking secret phone chats between himself and the actress, which he had recorded.
Michael Lohan insisted he released the tapes - in which Lindsay can be heard weeping uncontrollably to her father - to push the star into rehab for an alleged addiction to prescription drugs.
But New York Post gossip column Page Six reports Lohan actually tried to make a profit from the tapes. He eventually released them for free to America's RadarOnline.com, but was paid for a subsequent interview.
A source tells the publication, "Michael initially asked for a large fee - six figures - for the tapes of Lindsay and Dina, but he didn't get any takers.
"Radar Online also refused to pay for the tapes, so in the end he agreed to a deal to release the recordings for no fee, but giving him the exposure he needs with a paid interview."

| Report: Michael Lohan To Testify Against Jon Gosselin |
[08 Nov 2009|10:42pm] |
|

Michael Lohan has been subpoenaed in TLC's lawsuit against his one-time friend, Jon Gosselin, Radar Online reported. Lohan, who may be the target of legal action himself in the coming weeks, told the site that Gosselin "did deals with [him]." "I was working on a deal with him for a Nutrisystem endorsement and a book deal. He got paid a lot of money for different promotions, clubs, magazines, and by a TV network," Michael claimed. "At times he said what we were doing was OK; at times he said it was a problem." Lohan also alleged that his former friend was paid in cash for many appearances. The pair were formerly planning a reality show called the "Divorced Dad's Club," which fell apart in recent weeks. Gosselin is being sued for breach of contract by TLC. The status of his show with the network, "Jon and Kate Plus 8" (which the cable channel announced in September was set to be renamed "Kate Plus 8"), remains up in the air. As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, a judge granted motions for the network's lawyers to depose Lohan, along with Hailey Glassman and members of Gosselin's staff. Gosselin's lawyer previously told Access the allegations were a "baseless action." As for Lohan's own possible legal drama, daughter Lindsay's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, previously told Access that reports that the young star would file a cease and desist or restraining order against her outspoken father were "not true." However, mom Dina Lohan told Access Hollywood's Billy Bush on Monday that her other daughter, Ali, would be seeking a restraining order against her father.

| K-Stew post with loooong interview + new behind the scenes videos. |
[08 Nov 2009|09:30pm] |

Earlier today, the massive Los Angeles press junket for Summit Entertainment’s “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” began. All weekend the cast is going to be doing tons of interviews and I’d imagine you’re going to be reading the coverage on every website you follow. So rather than wait till the week of release, I’m going to be jumping in head first and posting what was said as fast as I can get it done. And up first… Kristen Stewart. While at last year’s press junket for the first “Twilight” film, I got the sense that the massive worldwide interest was a bit much for this talented young actress. But, on stage today, she not only handled the media like a pro, she seemed a lot more comfortable being closely associated with Bella Swan. In fact, she seemed really happy to be talking about the movie. So if you’d like to read or listen to what Kristen Stewart had to say about “New Moon”, hit the jump and take a look: As always, you can either read a transcript of the press conference or listen to the audio by clicking here. Finally, while I’d love to write what I thought about the movie as I saw it last night, Summit Entertainment has given us a strict embargo. Sorry. ( like really long interview here )sourcesource

[08 Nov 2009|06:48pm] |
Seven years after filming the successful Hip Hop drama 8 Mile, Detroit emcee Eminem is ready to return to Hollywood, this time with a leading role in a 3-D horror anthology. Screen Daily recently announced that the Relapse rapper will be featured in Shady Talez, a hybrid between the classic sci-fi program The Twilight Zone and the 80's horror comedy film, Creepshow.
In a joint venture, Shady Talez will be produced by John Davis who created the 2004 film I, Robot starring Will Smith, and writer and producer Dallas Jackson via D.J. Classicz/Davis Entertainment label. Also enlisting the help of writer and producer of the sci-fi vampire movie trilogy Underworld, Kevin Grevioux will help Jackson to write the film.
While the release date has not been set, the makers of Shady Talez are anticipating a four-issue comic series to be published based on the horror flick some time in 2010 under Marvel Icons.
Aside from Shady Talez, fans have been anxiously awaiting the release of Em's Relapse 2, rumored to drop November 16.

| My Must-See List- Comments Needed |
[08 Nov 2009|09:35pm] |
Okay, so this isn't REALLY my must-see list as much as it's a copied and pasted version of my Netflix queue, which is filled to the brim. I've subtracted all the television shows, but I'm looking for feedback, as I'd love to parse this list down and I imagine this list, which has tons of culty sci-fi and horror, has plenty of skippable films. Please let me know your opinions on any of these...
( Cut for ginormous list- don't worry, no pictures )

| Eddie Cibrian has double standards (and the sky is blue, yes) |
[08 Nov 2009|07:43pm] |
He didn't care that tabloids caught him cheating on his wife, but now that he's accused of cheating on LeAnn Rimes, Eddie is filing a lawsuit.

Eddie Cibrian is preparing to sue a U.S. magazine over claims he is cheating on new girlfriend Leann Rimes with a former lover.
Aspiring actress Scheana Marie Jancan recently told Life & Style magazine that the American TV star is a serial cheat who will sleep with women behind Rimes' back, as he did to his ex-wife Brandi Glanville.
Jancan warned Rimes, who quit her own marriage to date Cibrian, that the hunk will dump her after he has had his fun.
And the same publication, Life & Style, went on to claim Jancan was once again in Cibrian's bed - behind Rimes' back.
But the actor is fuming over the allegations, and is getting a case ready to file a libel lawsuit against editors of the glossy mag.
A statement from the star's rep says, "Unfortunately Life & Style Magazine has chosen to go out with a story filled with inaccuracies and deceitful lies, presumably to titillate sales, but clearly resulting in harm to Eddie Cibrian and others.
"This is irresponsible and reckless journalism. Eddie has met with his attorneys and will be filing a suit for libel and other actionable grounds shortly.
"It's a shame that Life & Style resorted to a story of this nature and they will regretfully now have to face scrutiny of untruthful reporting in a court proceeding."

**I did not make up that subject line, just agreed with it ok. I went through 5 sources and took the headline from one.
